The integration of online management platforms with the GreenTower technology allows for an Internet of Things (IoT) approach to manage loads and enhance solar generation performance while improving the end-user experience.

GreenTower technology harvests and stores solar energy using a novel approach to manage loads and supports off-grid and hybrid grid-tie solar PV implementation. The Ordiphase GreenTower controller software enhances solar energy generation performance through load management complementing solar energy storage using highly efficient Lithium batteries.

With ±526kWp solar PV installed since 2016, GreenTower technologyreduces demand on the grid while saving energy and the environment with more than 488 tons carbon footprint reduction per year.

In 2022, Eco-V partnered with Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) to develop an online solar technologies short course, funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering. As part of growing sales of GreenTower ESS, Ordiphase is adapting the short course to expand solar PV skills for new professionals entering the field. By aligning with the South African Photovoltaic Association (SAPVIA) Solar PV GreenCard Assessment standards and utilising a hybrid-online approach to reduce costs, the course uses online videos and simulations, with an in-person practical exercise prior to assessment. The GreenTower online solar PV training course will enable Ordiphase to expand our footprint to all provinces of South Africa and also into specific African markets with certified agents and installers. GreenTower ESS specific training includes online monitoring, load management and advanced design principles.

To reach a broader base Ordiphase now also offers approved business customers a funded solution over a 10 year term by providing Energy Security as a Service. Customers can afford monthly service fees out of reduction in utility expenses.

GreenTower controller software enhances solar energy generation performance through load management. A modular GreenTower design allows for various sustainable Small Scale Energy Generation (SSEG) applications including residential & business complexes, industrial plants & warehouses as well as commercial farming. Residential & business complexes typically require GreenTower ESS designs from 50kW to 300kW while industrial plants, warehouses and commercial farming require from 100kW to MegaWatt SSEG capacity.
